General Questions about Fan Control

Why does my Humidity Controlled Fan come on by itself during the night?

The humidity setting adjustment needs to be turned up to be less sensitive i.e. adjusted fully anticlockwise (high band) = 90% humidity and fan will NOT switch on until humidity reaches this level. Adjusted clockwise (low band) = 40% and fan will switch on as soon as humidity reaches this level making fan run until humidity falls to this level.

I have turned my Humidistat on my fan down and it runs continuously now.

Timer switches on with switch but then goes off with switch.

The Live and Switched Live are incorrect and need to be switched around i.e. switched LIVE to the T Terminal and LIVE to LIVE

My Humidity Module controlled fan runs continuously as soon as I switched on.

The fan may run immediately on start up due to the level of humidity within the room until it finds its threshold level.

My PIR sensor does not detect any movement.

Make sure that the opaque lens cap is fitted to the front cover.
Make sure the sensor is within range of movement pick up, the module has a 110 degree angle pick up @ 3 metres.

My Pullcord on my Humidity Controller does not click.

The switch on the Humidity pullcord fan is a momentary switch NO CLICK. The pullcord just starts the fan with a "TUG" just starts the fan into its timer mode.

My Humidity Module works on pullcord and humidity but not with the bathroom light switch.

The T Terminal on the controller needs to be fitted with a switched live from the bathroom light.

My low voltage fan does not work when I install the timer into it but works ok when wired direct.

Is it wired correctly with a switched live both into the transformer and a switched live to the fan?
Is the timer module fitted a low voltage module.
i.e. Part No. 72574204 Low Voltage Timer Module
i.e. Part No. 72612601 Mains Timer Module
