DUPLEXbase PT 3500
DUPLEXbase PT 3500 is designed for the energy efficient, comfort ventilation of schools, restaurants, sports halls, shops and offices as the unit has a powerful air delivery with low energy consumption and exceptionally high thermal efficiency. With a range of control options including Internet and BMS compatibility for "On Demand" ventilation the unit also incorporates an automatic, 100% summer by-pass to isolate the heat recovery function during the hotter months.
Units are supplied with all spigots facing upwards. This can solve the space restrictions issue by connecting the air ducts on a vertical direction which brings up new possibilities for installing the units in normally impractical spaces.
Unique to DUPLEXbase PT Range is the ability to equip the unit on site with optional built-in coils for heating and cooling. This versatile design also allows the unit to be installed as either a left or right hand version. This provides exceptional flexibility for designers in the specification phase and gives contractors the opportunity to locate the unit in the optimum position.
DUPLEXbase PT units are supplied with highly efficient heat exchangers with a large heat exchange area, which achieve a thermal efficiency of up to 93% with a low pressure loss.
All DUPLEXbase PT units benefit from high quality EC fans with backward curved blades designed with energy savings and increased equipment efficiency in mind, the entire range of EC fans not only complies with the ErP 2015 directive for fan requirements but even exceeds them.
The coated steel casing is designed as a frameless sandwich housing with excellent thermal insulation and minimal thermal bridging, making the ventilation units even more economical to operate. According to the EN 1886 classification the units comply with thermal insulation class T2, thermal bridge coefficient class TB2, L2 housing leakage and D1 mechanical stability.

UNIT SPECIFICATON – DUPLEXbase PT 3500
The mechanical ventilation with heat recovery unit shall be the DUPLEXbase PT 3500 as manufactured by Airflow, shall be sized as indicated on the drawings and shall be in accordance with the specification.
Compact central ventilation unit with heat recovery, designed for space-saving with built-in heating and cooling coils available as options. The unit can be installed indoors in the floor standing vertical position. Moreover, the direction of air flow can be configured upon commissioning of the unit.
As standard, the unit is equipped with control system featuring bypass of heat recovery exchanger. All other accessories are delivered as loose along with the unit and installed on site.
The unit casing consists of frameless construction with sandwich panels, manufactured without thermal bridges. The sandwich-mounted panels have the following characteristics: • Double sided metal sheet • Mineral wool filling insulation • Thickness: 0.75mm/0.45mm • Painted metal sheet colour: white (RAL 9010).

Class of building material according to DIN EN 13501: B-s1-d0 Condensate drain pan made of stainless steel (316L) In the condensate drain pan, there are two condensate drains, the necessary water traps are to be provided by the installer. 2-part service door on clips allow free access to all built-in components, heat recovery core, filter guide rails, fans etc. Each unit goes through a final thorough check and functionality test prior to being dispatched.
The unit shall be DUPLEXbase PT 3500 as manufactured by Airflow.
Delivery and placement in final installation position: The unit is delivered as one piece. It is not possible to divide the unit into more parts on site. To be positioned safely, the unit rests on 3 stand feet having the height of 170 mm. 100% automatic summer bypass damper: A bypass damper is fitted in the ventilation unit as standard and designed to bypass the heat exchanger during hot seasons to avoid overheating in the ventilated premises. In addition, the damper can also be used for night pre-cooling. Moreover, the summer bypass can be used to prevent the plate heat exchanger from freezing (defrosting using bypass). If required, an option of intelligent cool recovery is also available. Frame made of zinc-coated metal (class 2, thickness 1 mm), flap with tight-closing Aluminium blinds.
Heat recovery feature: Wide-area counterflow plate heat exchanger from highimpact polystyrene (hPS) provides high efficiency of heat recovery and it is resistant against corrosion to a high extent. Furthermore, it is chemically stable when in contact with extracted air that is polluted from a wide range of applications. The exchanger is resistant against impurities, and it can be operated in the temperature range from -25°C to +80°C. It features class H1 according to DIN 13779.

Web server (password-protected) : Integrated web server enables control and monitoring of ventilation unit via LAN/internet. It makes reading of operational data easy and provides for comfortable control of the unit as all items are sorted in the menu (e.g. weekly schedule, temperature, mode of operation, etc.). Remote access via PC, notebook, tablet or smartphone.
Modbus interface is included as standard, it mediates communication with local supervising control system (BMS).
RD6 TOUCH CONTROLLER
The white RD6 touch screen controller, is intuitive, user-friendly with a large touch screen and integrated room-temperature sensor, to be mounted on the wall. The user can set up and control all control system functions and display operational parameters of the unit, its alerts, and errors. An intuitive user interface, as well as a service menu protected by password, are available as standard with the controller. Default screen offers an overview of main operational parameters; these can be easily configured. Further options include all commonly needed functions. Operational parameters can be chosen in manual / automatic mode. All information is outlined on a well-arranged colour display.

Built-in control elements lead into a junction box. Terminal board is placed in a box on the outer side of the unit. The casing of junction box provides protection the against ingression of solid particles and water by the degree IP30.
To cut off the electrical power supply, e.g. when service works take place, service power switch is conveniently located next to the terminal board.
