The electrical post heater 2.4kW for DV145 (R) Adroit is an optional accessory that can be used to heat the air after post filtration.
The electrical post heater is designed to provide additional heating to the supply air when the outdoor temperature is very low or when the heat recovery efficiency is not sufficient to meet the heating demand.
As per the Passive House Certificate, appropriate measures should be taken to prevent the heat exchanger coil from getting damaged by frost during low winter temperatures.
The unit is equipped with an outdoor air - supply air - bypass, which is controlled dependent upon the extract, exhaust and outdoor air temperature. Supply air will be post heated through two electric supply air heaters (total electric power 2.4kW).
In order to avoid air flow reduction in freezing case, higher heating power on the supply air side is required.
